This one is not retro like the other two that I did. I worked on colors and used smoother brush strokes. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks!

Sometimes that's the best part of creating art is not knowing what the outcome will be until it starts taking shape.
I worked on the colors and pushing the background into the distance. I got a lot of great feedback on the last painting I did and hope to get great feedback on this one.

The city and ship is almost alien like. I was inspired by some of the old Science Fiction artists and I wanted a lot of detail. This was painted in photoshop and took probably around 12 hours .Let me know what you guys think. Thanks!

The background is very abstract but suggestive. I wanted to keep it simple so that it didn’t distract the ship. I also added a guy for scale reference. I painted it first and then added reflective textures to make it look more real. Let me know what you guys think.

This was my image for the spectacular challenge. The concept sketch for this was quick, but it was alot of work getting the detail, textures and colors just right. I was happy to get an honourable mention.
So what is spectacular? It all depends on the artist. What I find spectacular in my art is something I haven't seen with my own to eyes something that doesn't exist. I want to take you through a journey into tomorrow. How the world could be and how spectacular would it be to stand on this street corner and watch the world of tomorrow unfold before your eyes. I also wanted a seance of rust as though the city is futuristic but old. If you look at most cities today you can see a lot of the past. I also wanted movement. you get a feeling of people zooming buy low and high. I wanted a little action with a chase seen going on. A police chases a crook down the street. This has been a fun journey for my self. Thanks for all the great info and advice. I feel that as an artist I have pushed my self to take my art to the next level.
I wanted it to have a fairy tail feal with the light and fire flies in the background. I used photos for refrences. I painted a small area of rock and then copied and paisted the rock in other areas.
